Glen Castinho is a Senior Colourist and DI Specialist with two decades of experience across European, Indian, and US productions. He works with directors and cinematographers from early look development through to final delivery — across festival art-house, major commercial productions, and everything in between.

His practice is rooted in a photographic sensibility — colour as psychological language, light as emotional architecture, image integrity as a constant. He works from what is already true in the frame, shaping tone and contrast to reveal rather than impose, building the image from within.

His credits include premieres and awards at Venice, Berlin, Cannes, San Sebastián, Karlovy Vary and Camerimage, as well as releases on Netflix, Lionsgate, Amazon Prime Video and SkyShowtime. His work includes National Award–winning films and productions selected as official national Oscar submissions.

His grounding runs deeper than digital. Hands-on work with 35mm and 16mm celluloid — photochemical colour timing, light on stock — continues to inform his work. He trained and supported colourists across India and Europe within the FilmLight ecosystem, working with Baselight, Northlight, and Truelight systems, and collaborating with FilmLight’s UK headquarters.

He has consulted, built workflows, and graded at leading European facilities including Galaxy Studios and Alvernia Studios — where he served as Head of DI and Senior Colourist — supporting the development of full 4K digital intermediate pipelines and international laboratory partnerships with Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, Technicolor, and Barrandov Studio Prague.

As Senior Colourist and DI Consultant for Cinelab Romania — the Bucharest-based film laboratory and Kodak Motion Picture distributor — he grades features and documentaries, refines Digital Intermediate workflows, and contributes to the development of the facility’s Digital Film to Digital pipeline — bridging digital acquisition with the tonal depth, texture, and physicality of a film finish.
